Gong Bath

A beautiful sound meditation

Daniella has had the privilege to train in NAAD Yoga, (The Yoga of sound) with the amazing Leo Cosendai, one of the world’s leading sound meditation teachers.

The Gong is the most resonant tone-producing instrument known to man. All those that hear its multiple melodies are engulfed in a motherly sound that has no equal on earth, it seems to be an agent of transformation. It is referred to as a bath due to participants being immersed in the vibrations of the instruments during the session.  The mental effects of the gong are complex and deep, Its fair to say that the gong is a way to turn meditation into an activity that is accessible to all, regardless of fitness, age or gender. The sounds produced are relaxing and calming, centring and energising, Transforming and healing.

A Gong bath involves the recipient laying comfortably under a blanket, often beginning with breathing exercises to prepare for the experience. The practitioner strums the remarkable disc-shaped copper structure, of which the vibrations are absorbed throughout the entire body. Both body and mind surrender to the immense flow of frequencies that transform the reality into pure sound.
